Kenya AA — Specialty Grade
KIENI – AA 14IM0064
SL28 & SL34 — Kenya's Benchmark Varieties
SL28 and SL34 are Scott Laboratory selections developed in the 1930s that define Kenya's coffee identity. SL28 thrives at higher altitudes and contributes blackcurrant and citrus intensity, while SL34 adds floral complexity and full body. Together they produce the vibrant acidity and sweetness Kenya AA is world-renowned for.
Origin & Processing
Kieni Factory · Mugaga FCS
Kieni AA 14IM0064 delivers black tea, citric acidity, and clean chocolate sweetness — a refined expression of the Nyeri terroir. Produced at the Kieni Factory by 900–1,000 smallholder farmers at elevations of 1,600 to 1,800 MASL. Many farmers also practice intercropping, planting bananas alongside coffee trees to enhance biodiversity and soil fertility. Double fermentation and raised-bed drying preserve the clarity of this exceptional lot.
